GOVERNMENT OF PUDUCHERRY CHIEF SECRETARIAT (AGRICULTURE) (G.O. Ms. No. 16/Ag., dated 5th December 2014) (d) advise the Principal regarding the intake capacity of various courses, preparation of time- tables, distribution of the available teaching work-load and such other matters relating to the internal management of the college and discipline of the college students as may be referred to it by the Principal, from time to time;

3. Selection process.—The eligible applicant shall be issued call letter to appear for the following tests.

The date and place of recruitment test will be indicated in the call letters. Candidates will have to undergo the following tests.

(i) Physical measurement : Candidates will be screened first for height and weight.

measurement will be admitted for the physical efficiency test.

Physical efficiency test details :

For female candidates Stage-I . . 200 mts. run – 45 seconds

Stage-II . . Long jump – 2.75 mts.

Note: Each stage of physical efficiency test is a qualifying stage by itself for the next stage i.e. only the candidates who qualify in the stage-I of physical efficiency test will be eligible for the stage-II and so on.

4. Written test (200 marks)—(i) All candidates (female) who qualify in the physical standards and physical efficiency tests, shall undergo a written test. The questions will be in objective type and will be generally of S.S.L.C. standard. (ii) The written test will be in English and regional languages (i.e.) for candidates from Puducherry and Karaikal in Tamil, for Mahe in Malayalam and for Yanam in Telugu. The questions for General English shall be only in English language.

Note: (i) Physical test, written test and medical examination will be held in Puducherry only.

(ii) The candidates will have to appear for the physical efficiency and written test at their own expenses. SC candidates from other regions (Karaikal/Mahe/Yanam) are entitled to second class to and fro railway/ bus fare on the receipt of the railway/bus tickets.

5. Medical test.— The candidates selected in the written test will be put through medical examination to access their medical fitness as per the medical standards prescribed through the standing order issued by the Government.

Training.— She shall be placed on probation for a period of two years from the date of joining the post as per recruitment rules (including the basic training for one year).

ANNEXURE

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES

Applicants should read the following instructions carefully before applying

1. Mode of applying for the post of Police Constable (Women) in Police Department by direct recruitment is through online only.

2. Avoid registering multiple online applications and register only a single application. All multiple online applications will be cancelled.

3. (a) Photograph: Applicants are instructed to scan their recent passport size colour photograph with 150 dpi resolutions in JPG image file format [maximum file size: 150 kb and dimension (width x height): not less than 220 x 270 pixels] and use it to crop while applying through online.

(b) Signature: Applicants are instructed to scan their signature (use black ink) with 150 dpi resolutions in JPG image file format [maximum file size: 150 kb and dimension (width x height): not less than 325 x 125 pixels] and use it to crop while applying through online.

Note: Photograph and signature may be scanned together in an A4 sheet.

4. Separate photograph of the applicant is not required to be sent along with the online generated application.

5. Self-attested photocopy of certificates for educational qualification, nativity/residence/community certificate issued by Revenue Department, Puducherry along with the online generated application.

6. Applicants should note the computer generated unique application number and should quote the same in all further correspondences to know their status of the application and also to get their hall ticket through online.

7. Applicants are advised to have a copy of the online generated application for their reference.

8. Copy of the online generated applications alongwith self-attested copies of all relevant documents should be reached in our office through Registered Post on or before 31-12-2014.

9. Only after verification of the duly signed online generated application received from the applicants within the due date and time, hall tickets will be generated for issue. Applicants who have not submitted online generated application within the prescribed time shall not be considered for the recruitment examination.

10. Copy of all the notifications will be published in the website https://www.police.pondicherry.gov.in and information to such notification will be given through regional news dailies. Applicants are advised to watch the above website and news dailies regularly for information.

11. All original certificates are required to be produced for verification at the time of physical standard test/physical efficiency test and also after the notification of results of the recruitment examination.

12. A separate press note will be issued in leading regional dailies regarding the issue of hall tickets through online to all the eligible applicants. The applicants can take the print-outs of their hall tickets in the website https://www.police.pondicherry.gov.in by using the unique application number generated while applying for the posts through online.

13. The applicants are advised to check the website to know the reasons for the rejection of their application.

14. The decision of the Government as to the eligibility or otherwise of the applicant for admission to the physical standard test/physical efficiency test/written examination shall be final.

15. The admission to the physical standard test/physical efficiency test/written examination is only provisional. Success in the examination confers no right to appointment. The appointment is subject to verification of educational qualification, nationality/residence/community and any other special category claimed by the individual and also verification of character and antecedents and medical fitness.

16. Since, the mode of applying is through online, change of data will not be entertained in future under any circumstances. The applicants are strictly instructed to adhere the conditions, while filling up the data in the respective field.

17. No correspondence will be entertained with regard to the recruitment process. Candidates are advised to verify the status of their applications/hall tickets, etc., through online only.

18. Change of address, if any, after submission of application should be intimated immediately to the Department or otherwise the Department will not be responsible for any delay/non-delivery of letters.

19. No request for change of examination centre for physical test/written examination/change of choice of the language to write the examination will be entertained. The physical and written examination will be held in Puducherry only.

20. Applicant's details as indicated in the online application are final and cannot be altered later.
