GOVERNMENT OF PUDUCHERRY

NOTIFICATION
Whereas, as per sub-section (1) of section 26 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (30 of 2013) (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), the Collector has to determine the market value of the land to be acquired;
And whereas, as per sub-section (2) of section 26 of the said Act, the market value calculated as per sub-section (1) of section 26 of the said Act shall be multiplied by a factor as specified in the First Schedule of the said Act;
And whereas, as per the First Schedule of the said Act, the factor by which the market value is to be multiplied in the case of rural areas is to be notified by the appropriate Government;

[ PART-I And whereas, as per sub-clause (iii) of clause (e) of section 3 of the said Act, the Government of Puducherry is the appropriate Government in relation to the land situated within the Union territory of Puducherry;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 26 read with the First Schedule of the said Act and all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the Government of Puducherry hereby notifies that when the land to be acquired is situated in rural areas, the market value as calculated by the Collector as per sub-section (1) of section 26 of the said Act shall be multiplied by the factor 1 (one).
