1. Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called
the Puducherry Right to Information (Amendment) Rules, 2015.
(2) They shall come into force on and from the date of their
publication in the official gazette.
2. Amendment of rule 3.— In the Puducherry Right to Information
Rules, 2006 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 3, above the
proviso clause, the following shall be added, namely:—
"The application submitted by an applicant, in Form-I, for
seeking information, shall ordinarily not contain more than five
hundred words, excluding annexures, containing address of the
Public Information Officer and that of the applicant:
Provided that no application shall be rejected only on the ground
that it contains more than five hundred words.".
3. Amendment of rule 7.— In the said rules, in sub-rule (1) of rule 7,
in clause (B), after sub-clause (d), the following new sub-clauses shall
be added, namely:—
"(e) So much of postal charges involved in supply of information
that exceeds fifty rupees.
(f) (i) ` 20 (Rupees twenty only) per Compact Disc (CD);
(ii) ` 50 (Rupees fifty only) per Digital Versatile Disc (DVD);
