Ms. No. 36/98/Wel-SW-II, dated 21-12-1998 of the Chief Secretariat (Welfare), Puducherry, and has lastly reconstituted the same with non-official members vide G.O. Ms. No. 64/2012/Wel-SW-V, dated 31-5-2012 of the Chief Secretariat (Welfare), Puducherry and G.O.Ms. No. 4/2014/Wel-SWS, dated 10-10-2014 of the Social Welfare Secretariat, Puducherry;

2. And whereas, the tenure of the Chairman and other non-official members appointed to the said Commission will expire on 30-5-2015 and a necessity has therefore arisen to appoint a Chairman and non-official members;

(ii) There will be a horizontal reservation of 10% for Ex-Servicemen; not exceeding 5% for Meritorious Sports Person and 3% for Differently Abled Persons (PH) (Ortho). (iii) The selection will be made among the eligible candidates possessing knowledge of the regional languages of Tamil, Malayalam or Telugu as the case may be, according to the availability of vacancies in different regions of the Union Territory of Puducherry at the time of selection.

2. Pay Band + Grade Pay . . Rs. 5,200 - 20,200 + Rs. 1,900 plus usual allowances as applicable

from time to time.

3. Eligibility conditions—

(a) Age-limit

. . Between 18 and 32 years. (Cut off date for age will be 6-7-2015).

Relaxations . . 3 years for M.B.C./O.B.C./E.B.C./B.C.M./B.T. and 5 years for S.C.

For Ex-Servicemen, D.A.P. and M.S.P. as per rules.

(b) Educational qualification . . (1) A pass in S.S.L.C./Matriculation or its equivalent; and

(2) 2 years Craftsmanship Certificate in the Electrician/Wireman T rad e issued b y the Ministry o f Lab o ur and Emp loyment, Government of India or its equivalent.

4. Resident/Nativity . . The candidates who are the natives of the Union Territory of Puducherry by continuous residence in the Union Territory of Puducherry for the last 5 years i.e. on the closing date for receipt of duly filled-in application are eligible to apply for the post. They should produce the required certificates issued by an officer of the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management not below the rank of Deputy Tahsildar.

5. The selection will be provisional subject to the production of nativity certificate, caste certificate, educational and technical qualification certificates, etc. in original before the offer of appointment is issued.

6. Candidates will have to produce all their certificates in original when called for separately for verification.

7. No original certificate should be sent along with the application.

8. Selection process :

(1) Percentage of marks obtained in the I.T.I. (Electrician/Wireman) final . . 100% shall be taken into examination.

(4) Seniority based on the registration of I.T.I. (Electrician/Wireman) . . 1.5 (One and half) marks for every year of seniority l i mi t ed t o 1 5 ( f if t e e n ) marks.

(5) 5% marks shall be deducted for second and subsequent attempt in I.T.I. examination.

9. The candidates should furnish any one of the following certificates as a proof of their residence:

(1) Residence/Nativity Certificate issued within one year prior to 6-1-2015.

(2) Service Certificate obtained from the respective Head of Office in respect of Government Servant/ Children/Spouse of State Government Servant.

10. Caste Certificate for S.C./M.B.C./O.B.C./E.B.C./B.T.M./B.T. obtained from the Revenue Authority not below the rank of Deputy Tahsildar issued after 7-6-2014 in the prescribed form alone will be accepted. Application with old certificate or combined certificate will not be considered against reserved vacancies.

11. Such of those applicants who are already in service should send their applications through proper channel in advance so as to reach before the prescribed date and time.

12. Applications neatly typed out on a plain paper in the format given below should be filled-in, in all respects, by the candidate should be accompanied by the following copies of the certificates duly self-attested:

(1) Birth Certificate/Board Certificate indicating date of birth;

(2) S.S.L.C./Matriculation Mark Sheet;

(3) 2 years Craftsmanship Certificate in Electrician/Wireman Trade issued by the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India or its equivalent;

(4) Residence/Nativity Certificate;

(5) Community Certificate, i.e. , S.C./M.B.C./O.B.C./E.B.C./B.C.M./B.T.;

(6) Category Certificate, i.e., Ex-Serviceman/M.S.P./D.A.P.; and

(7) Employment Exchange Registration Card duly renewed up to date.

13. The duly filled-in application in the prescribed form alongwith the attested copies of all required certificates should reach the Office of the Officer on Special Duty, Electricity Department, Nethaji Subash Chandra Bose Salai, Puducherry-605 001 on or before 6-7-2015 by 5.45 p.m.

14. The Superintending Engineer-I, Electricity Department, Puducherry reserves the right to enhance/reduce the number of posts and also to cancel the recruitment process. No interim enquiries will be entertained.

15. Applications furnished without the required particulars/certificate or which are in incomplete shape or those applications received after the due date will be summarily rejected and no further correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

The successful tenderer shall arrange to weigh the old newspapers, pay the cost thereof alongwith applicable sales tax and remove the old newspapers within 24 hours from the time of the tender sale is over. On failure to this arrangements, the earnest money deposit paid will be forefeited. Also for the old newspapers which have been disposed off after the due receipt or payment, this department will not undertake any responsibility for any loss or shortage or damage. On complete clearance the earnest money deposit will be refunded.
