ORDER
The Registrar General Citizen Registration, India have notified in the Gazette of India No. 1332, dated 25-6-2015 that in pursuance of sub-rule (4) of rule 3 of the Citizenship (Registration of the Citizens and Issue of National Identity Cards) Rules, 2003 the Government of India have decided to update the Population Register and the field work for house to house enumeration throughout the country for collection of information relating to all persons who are usually residing within the jurisdiction of Local Registrar shall be undertaken with effect from the 1st day of July 2015 onwards. Pursuant to the directions of the Registrar General Citizen Registration, India, the said Gazette notification was also republished for information o f t h e p u b l i c i n t h e E x t r a o r d i n a r y G a z e t t e o f P u d u c h e r r y, P a r t - I , N o . 5 8 , dated 8th July 2015.
[ 453 ]LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT [ PART-I 454 454 2. The Government of Puducherry has decided to conduct the field work for house to house enumeration for collection of information relating to all local residents in Union territory of Puducherry from 31-7-2015 to 30-8-2015.
3. Further, the Government of Puducherry is pleased to appoint the following officers as State Coordinator/District Registrar/Sub-District Registrar for the updation of National Population Register (NPR) to carry out or aid in or supervise the conduct of house to house enumeration within the limits of their jurisdiction.
