NOTIFICATION
The Election Commission of India has announced that the General Elections of Puducherry Legislative Assembly will be held on 16-5-2016. The Election Commission of India has issued several instructions for monitoring expenditure during the elections as a p art of curbing the use of money power during elections. Hence, in order to assess the election expenditure of contesting candidates, in respect of the various items, the rates have been finalised by the District Election Officer, Puducherry as given in the Annexure. The same are hereby notified for the information of the general public, political parties and interested persons for assessing the election expenditure during the ongoing General Elections to the Puducherry Legislative Assembly, 2016. The Election Expenditure Monitoring Cell will assess the expenditure based on the rates given in the Annexure or the actuals whichever is higher.
