In pursuance o f the pro visions co ntained in section 28 A o f the Representation of People Act, 1951 and as per the Standing Order No. 434/1/ E S O 2 6 / 9 4 / M C S , d a t e d 2 4 t h O c t o b e r , 1 9 9 4 o f E l e c t i o n C o m m i s s i o n of India, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to designate the Police Officers specified in the Table below for the purpose of General Elections to Puducherry Legislative Assembly, 2016 and shall be deemed to be on deputation to the Election Commission of India with immediate effect until the Election process is over:—
