E . 4 7 / 2 0 1 6 i s s u e d b y t h e Lieutenant-Governo r of Puducherr y on 22 nd April, 2016 under sub -sectio n ( 2) o f section 15 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), a General Election has been held for the purpose of co nstituting a new Legislative Assembly for the Union territory of Pud ucherr y; and
Whereas, the results of the elections in all Assembly Constituencies in the said General Election have b een declar ed by the Returning Officer s concerned;
