NOTIFICATION
Whereas, orders were issued in pursuance of sub-section (3) of section 3 of the National Security Act, 1980 (Central Act 65 of 1980), directing that the District Magistrate, Puducherry and Karaikal may also, if satisfied as provided in sub-section (2) of the said section, exercise the powers conferred by the said s u b - s e ct i o n f o r a p e r i o d o f t h r ee mo n t h s f r o m 2 8 th Ap r i l 2 0 1 6 i n t h e Home Department's Notification issued in G.O. Ms. No. 23, dated 20th April 2016;
2. And whereas, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry having regard to the circumstances prevailing in the Union territory of Puducherry is satisfied that it is necessary to extend the said period by three months from 28th July 2016;

LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT [PART - I 3. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-section (3) of section 3 of the National Security Act, 1980 (Central Act 65 of 1980), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby extends the powers conferred in the said sub-section for a further period of three months from 28th July 2016.
