TENDER-CUM-AUCTION NOTICE Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram ( e xc lu d i ng Sa le s ta x) ar e in vi t ed f o r t h e sa le o f old newspapers Tamil and English belonging to this Directorate,

Rate per kilogram (1) Old Tamil newspapers . . `

(2) Old English newspapers . . `

(3) Old Magazines . . `

(4) Waste papers . . `

2. The sealed tenders should be addressed to the Director of Economics and Statistics, No. 505, Kamaraj Salai, Saram, Puducherry-605 013 duly superscribing on the envelope as "Tender for purchase of old newspapers" a n d s h o u l d r e a c h t h e u n d er s i gn e d o n o r b e fo r e 7-12-2016 at 3.00 p.m. The tenders will be opened at 4.00 p.m. on the same day in the presence of the attending tenderers, in the office of the undersigned.

3. If necessary, the auction will be conducted among the tenderers to fix highest rate.

4. The intending tenderers should pay an amount of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) as earnest money deposit in cash and it will be refunded to the u ns u c ce s s fu l te n d er e r s a f t er t h e a c c e p t a n c e o f 5. The successful tenderer should pay the full amount immediately as and when call made and clear the items within 24 hours at his own risk and expenses, failing which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.

6. The intending tenderers can inspect the newspapers and magazines during the office hours of all working days from 25-11-2016 to 6-12-2016 at the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, No. 505, Kamaraj Salai, Saram, Puducherry-605 013.

7. The successful tenderer should make his/her own arrangements for weighing the newspapers and other items.

8. In case of any dispute, the decision of the undersigned will be the final.

9. No claim on the quantity and quality of the newspapers will be admitted once the tender/auction is finalized.

10. The undersigned reserves the right to accept/ cancel any tender in part or full without assigning any reason.

11. VAT/Sales tax will be collected on the sale of old newspapers, old magazines and waste papers extra as per the rate applicable at the time of disposal.
