NOTIFICATION: (G. O. Ms. No. 4, Puducherry, dated 2nd December 2016) Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995 (1 of 1996) lays down various welfare measures for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) which are to be undertaken by the State/Union Territory Governments. Section 32 of the Act mandates provision of 3% reservation to (i) blindness or low vision (VH), (ii) hearing impairment (HH); and (iii) locomotor disability or cerebral palsy (OH) categories of disabilities in the posts operated in Government and Autonomous Bodies.
