The intending tenderers should enclose a Demand Draft for `1,000 (Rupees one thousand only) towards earnest money deposit drawn in the form of t he S P ( H Q ) , P u d u ch e r r y al o n g wi th th e te n d er. The earnest money deposited by the unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded after the tenders are opended and decided, and those of the successful tenderer will be converted into security deposit, to be kept in Government account as per procedure.

5. In the event of successful tenderer failing to pay the cost in full and lift the newspapers and magazines }| {

at the agreed rate at their own expenses before the close of the fourth day counted from the date of receipt of communication from this office. The security deposit will be once and forever appropriated

TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are invited for the disposal of old newspapers and magazines (both Tamil and English) in the Office of the Director-General of Police, Puducherry on an annual basis, i.e., from 1-1-2017 to 31-12-2017.

2. The rate should be quoted for each item as follows:

Rate per kilogram ( 1 ) Old Tamil newspapers . . ` ( 2 ) Old English newspapers . . ` ( 3 ) Old Tamil magazines . . ` ( 4 ) Old English magazines . . ` about the quantity, quality and value of the sold goods will be admitted.

6. It may be noted that the undersigned reserves the right to reject any or all the tenderers without assigning any reason. Contravention of the rules of tender notice will result in the forfeiture of the earnest money deposit/security deposit.

7. The removal of items from the office shall be allowed only during working hours.

8. Sales tax will be collected as per rules.

9. The successful tenderer should make his own arrangements to weigh the old newspapers and magazines only with electronic weighing machine subject to satisfaction of the undersigned.

10. Action will be taken for refund of security deposit collected in respect of "non-defaulting tenderer" after the close of the current year 2016.

11. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Superintendent of Police (HQ)., Police Department, Puducherry will be the final and legally binding.
