ORDER
As a mark of respect to the late Thiru M. Chandrakasu, former Minister and Speaker of Puducherry Legislative Assembly, State Mourning shall be observed for one day on Thursday the 09th March, 2017. The National Flag will be flown at half-mast for one day on 09th March, 2017 throughout the Union territory of Puducherry on all the buildings where it is flown regularly. It has been decided that as a mark of respect to the departed leader, there shall be no official entertainment during the period of State Mourning.
2. It has also been decided to extend full State Honour and State Funeral to the departed leader.
