[G.O. Ms. No. 04/2016-Wel. (SCW)/483, Puducherry, dated 6th March 2017] NOTIFICATION The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to enhance the quantum of financial assistance for performance of marriage of poor Scheduled Caste brides and for said purpose hereby makes further amendments to the "Rules for Grant of Financial Assistance for Performance of Marriage of poor Scheduled Caste Brides" notified vide G.O. Ms. No. 51/91-Wel(SCW-l), dated 15-11-1991 of the Chief Secretariat (Welfare and Transport), Puducherry and published in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 21, dated 21st November, 1991 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), namely:- [ 57 ]

AMENDMENT

In the said rules:

(i) In rule 4 for the words, figures and brackets, ` 50,000 (Rupees fifty thousand only) the words, figures and brackets, "` 75,000 (Rupees seventy-five thousand only)" shall be substituted.

(ii) In rule 5 after sub-rule (5), the following proviso shall be

inserted, namely:-

"Financial Assistance herein shall be paid to the beneficiary

before 15 days of the date of marriage" through (Aadhaar

Payment Bridge) APB/ECS.

(iii) In Form No. VI prescribed under rule 5(5) for the words,

figures and brackets "` 75,000 (Rupees seventy-five thousand only)" shall be substituted.

2. This notification shall be deemed to have come into force with

effect from 1-2-2017.

3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department

vide their I.D. No. 2072/FC/FD/F5/A2/2016, dated 13-10-2016.
