NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, read with the Notification No. 24/78/68-DH(S), dated the 24th September, 1968 of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby makes the following rules to amend the Government of Puducherry, Law and Labour Department, Deputy Secretary (Law) Recruitment Rules, 1991, notified vide G.O. Ms. No.14/91-Law, dated 5th March, 1991 of the Law Department, Government of Puducherry and published as a Supplement to the Gazette No. 15 of the 9th April, 1991, namely:—
1. Short title and commencement.— (i) These rules may be called the Government of Puducherry, Law and Labour Department, Deputy Secretary (Law) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2018.
(ii) They shall come into force on and from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. For rule 2 of the Government of Puducherry, Law and Labour Department, Deputy Secretary (Law) Recruitment Rules, 1991, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:—
"2. Number of post, its classification and Level in the Pay Matrix.— The number of the said post, its classification and the Level in the Pay Matrix attached thereto, shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed hereto".
3. In the Schedule to the Government of Puducherry, Law and Labour Department, Deputy Secretary (Law) Recruitment Rules, 1991;
In column (4), for the column heading and the entries relating thereto, the following column heading and entries shall be substituted, namely:—
"4. Level in the Pay Matrix: Level 11"
