No. 2709/DRDM/Rev./B1/2017. Puducherry, the 13th April 2018. NOTIFICATION The following Draft Rules, which the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section 2 of section 109 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (30 of 2013) is hereby published, as required by section 112 of the said Act, for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said Draft Rules shall be taken into consideration after the expiry of a period of fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette of Puducherry. 2. Any, Objection or suggestion which may be received from any

person with respect to the said Draft Rules within the period so specified

shall be considered by the Government of Puducherry.

3. Objections or suggestions, if any, may be addressed to the

Special Secretary (Revenue), Department of Revenue and Disaster

Management, Vazhudavur Road, Pettaiyanchathiram, Puducherry-605 009.

DRAFT RULES

1. Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) These rules may

be called as the Puducherry Right to Fair Compensation and

Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement

(Amendment) Rules, 2017.

(2) They shall extend to the whole of the Union territory of

Puducherry.

(3) They shall come into force on and from the date of their

publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Puducherry Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency

in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Rules, 2016, for the

existing sub-rule (i) of rule 34, the following shall be substituted

namely:—

"(i) The cases covered under clause (a) of sub-section (1) ofs e c t i o n 2 4 , w h e r e t h e n o t i f i c a t i o n w a s i s s u e d o n o r b e f o r e 31st December, 2013 under section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (1 of 1894), the date for determination of market value shall be the date on which such notification was issued."
