Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are i n v i t e d f r o m t h e t e n d e r ers f o r t h e d i s p o s a l o f old newspapers (Tamil and English) belonging to the District Project Office, Samagra Shiksha, Karaikal.

Rate per kilogram (i) Old Tamil newspapers . . ` (ii) Old English newspapers . . ` 3. The t e n d e r s in sealed covers superscribed with the words "Tender for the purchase of old newspapers" should be addressed to the Assistant District Programme Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha, Karaikal, so as to reach this office before 3.00 p.m. on 5-12-2018. The tenders will be opened on the same day at 3.30 p.m. in the presence of the tenderers who are present at that time. If, the said date happens to be a holiday, the tender process will be held on the next working day.
4. The tenders received after the due date and time will not be entertained.
6. The intending tenderers may inspect the said articles during office hours on any working day with the permission of the undersigned.
7. The undersigned reserves full right either to accept or reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason. Contravention of the rules of tender notice will result in the forfeiture of the earnest money deposit.
8. The successful tenderer shall arrange to weigh the old newspapers, pay the cost thereof along with applicable taxes and remove the same within 48 hours from the time of the tender sale is over.
9. On failure to this arrangement, the earnest money deposit paid will be forfeited. Once the items are taken away after completion of the tender process and after payment, this office will not undertake any responsibility for loss or shortage. On complete clearance, the earnest money deposit will be refunded.
10. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Assistant District Programme Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha, Karaikal, will be the final.

5. The intending tenderers should deposit an earnest money of ` 200 (Rupees two hundred only) in cash before opening of the sealed tenders. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded after the tenders are opended and successful tenderer selected.
