Ms. No. 34/LAS/A5/2018, Puducherry, dated 14th December 2018) NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 30 of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969 (No. 18 of 1969) and with the approval of Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Office of the Registrar-General, India at New Delhi, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to make the following Amendment to the Puducherry R e g i s t r a t i o n o f B i r t h s a n d D e a t h s R u l e s , 1 9 9 9 n o t i f i e d v i d e G.O. Ms. No. 172/LAS/99-2000, dated 29th December, 1999 of the Local Administration Secretariat at Government of Puducherry and published in Part-II of the Extraordinary Gazette No. 53, dated 30th December, 1999, namely:- [ 1015 ]

AMENDMENT

1. Short title and commencement.— (a) These rules may be

called as the Puducherry Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment)

Rules, 2018.

(b) They shall come into force with immediate effect.

2. Amendment in Form No. 2.— In the Puducherry Registration

of Births and Deaths Rules, 1999 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules),

in Form No. 2 under rule 5, after the existing column 5a, the following

shall be inserted, namely:—

"5b. Age of Husband/Wife :

5c Contact details of Husband/Wife : "

3. Amendment in Form No. 8.— In the said rules, in Form No. 8

under rule 12, after the existing column 5A, the following shall be

inserted, namely:—

"5b. Age of Husband/Wife :

5c Contact details of Husband/Wife : "
