The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to declare 11th February, 2019 (Monday) as local holiday to all the Government Offices and Educational Institution in Karaikal District on account of "Consecration Ceremony of Sri Dharbarenyeswarar Swamy Devasthanam, Thirunallar" and in lieu thereof 16th February, 2019 (Saturday) will be a working day for Karaikal District.

2. This leave is NOT covered under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

O n a t t a i n i n g t h e a g e o f s u p e r a n n u a t i o n , Thiru T. Karikalan, Pondicherry Civil Service (Non- Functional Grade) Officer, worked as Joint Project Director (General), Project Implementation Agency, Puducherry, was admitted into retirement from service with effect from the afternoon of 31-1-2019.

TENDER-CUM-AUCTION NOTICE Sealed tenders are invited offering the highest rates per lot of old/condemned furniture and other dead stock items available in the Office of the District Institute of Education and Training, Lawspet, Puducherry as per the terms and conditions mentioned below for sale by the undersigned in as-is-where-is condition.

The tenders should be addressed to the "Principal, District Institute of Education and Training, Lawspet, Puducherry, superscribing as "Tender for the sale of old/unserviceable furniture, dead stock and other items" so as to reach the undersigned on or before 28-2-2019 at 10.00 a.m.

2. Tenders received after the due date and time will summarily be rejected.

3. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount of ` 1,000 (Rupees one thousand only) as earnest money deposit before submission of tender.

4. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded after the tender sale is over/ finalized.

5. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject any tender or all the items without assigning any reason thereof. The decision of the undersigned is final in case of any dispute.

6. The successful tenderer should pay the entire amount immediately and clear all the articles within 24 hours at his own risk and cost, failing which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.

7. No claim about the quantity, quality and value of the unserviceable furniture items will be admitted once the tender is finalized.

Puducherry with the permission of the Principal, between 10.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. during 21-02-2019 to 25-02-2019.

9. The sale will be effected only to the highest bidder.

10. The Government is in no way be held responsible for the safe custody of the articles once the tender is confirmed.

11. The Sales tax as per the rate in force will be charged extra on the amount finalized.

12. The tender will be opened on 01-03-2019 at 03.00 p.m. If, the tender opening day happens to be a public holiday, the same will be opened on the next working day. Any incomplete tender received is liable for rejection.
