CORRIGENDUM
RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF POLICE CONSTABLE IN POLICE DEPARTMENT, PUDUCHERRY
In partial modification of the Notification, dated 20-8-2018 under this Depar tment's Notification No. 2841/Al/Estt.I(B)/POL/2019, dated 20-08-2018 and as per the G.O. Ms. No. 49, dated 29-05-2019 of Home Department, Puducherry, relaxation of upper age-limit is extended by two years by the Government from 22 to 24 years, as a one time measure.
Applications are invited only from men and women those who are eligible and covered under the upper age-limit relaxation of age from above 22 years to 24 years as on 22-09-2018 in the recruitment of Police Constable in Police Department in the Union territory of Puducherry as detailed below and all other conditions stipulated in the Notification, dated 20-8-2018 shall remain unaltered.
Age-Limit : Extent of upper age-limit has been relaxed by two years i.e., From above 22 years and up to 24 years as on 22-09-2018.

A Pass in standard 10+2 or its equivalent Meritorious 5 years (in respect of reserved Sports Person applicants, over and above the admissible relaxation of 5 years for SC ( Ab o ve 2 9 year s and up to 34 years as on 22-09-2018) and 3 years for MBC/OBC/EBC/ BCM/BT) (Above 27 years and up to 32 years as on 22-09-2018).
Note:
(1) The crucial date for determining the upper age-limit shall be as on 22-09-2018.
(2) The list of already eligible candidates applied in pursuance of Notification, dated 20-08-2018 will be hosted in Puducherry Police official website https://police.py.gov.in. with effect from 04-06-2019 and these candidates need not apply again.
(3) The Notification containing the number of vacancies with details of reservation, educational qualification, eligib ility cr iteria, mod e o f app lication , etc., can b e viewed in the Pud ucherr y P o lice o fficial web site https://police.py.gov.in.
(4) Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria may apply only through online in the above official website which will be available from 10-06-2019 at 10.00 hrs. to 09-07-2019 up to 23.50 hrs.
