TENDER-CUM-PUBLIC AUCTION NOTICE
Sealed tenders are invited for the sale of unserviceable/damaged furniture, dead stock and library books in the Government High Schools under the control of the Deputy Director of Education (Women), D. Simon Cardinal Lourdusamy Government Girls' High School, Cathedral Street, Puducherry and materials pertaining to the Office of the Deputy Director (Sports and Youth Services) in as-is-where-is condition.

1. The tenders in plain paper should be sealed and addressed to the Deputy Director of Education (Women), Directorate of School Education, Puducherry duly superscribing on the envelope as " Te n d e r f o r t h e p u r c h a s e o f old condemned furniture items" and sent to reach the undersigned on or before 19-9-2019 at 3.00 p.m. The tenders will be opened on the same day at 4.00 p.m. in the presence of the tenderers who are present. The rates for each School should be quoted separately in one cover. The auction will be conducted from the highest rate quoted.
2. The tenders will be opened on 19-9-2019 at 4.00 p.m. If, the tender opening day happens to be a public holiday, the same will be opened on the next working day.
3. The intending tenderers should deposit a sum of ` 3,000 (Rupees three thousand only) as earnest money deposit. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be returned immediately after the tender/ auction sale is over.
4. Tenders received after the due date and time will summarily be rejected.
5. The successful tenderers should pay the entire amount and clear the items within 24 hours at their own risk and cost, failing which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.
6. The intending tenderers may inspect the condemned furniture items during office hours on any working day with the prior permission of the Head of Institution during 17-9-2019 and 18-9-2019.
7. No claim on the quantity or quality of the articles will be admitted once the tender/auction sale is finalised.
8. GST at the rate applicable will be charged and collected. Tenderers with registered GST Certificate will be allowed to participate in the tender/auction process.
9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the undersigned will be the final.
10. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason thereof.
