NOTIFICATION
In pursuance of the explanation to section 25 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (Act XXVI of 1881) and the instructions issued by the Election Commission of India, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to declare Monday, the 21st October, 2019, a Public Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 for the following in-order to enable the Electors employed to exercise their franchise in the Bye-Election to 10-Kamaraj Nagar Assembly Constituency, Puducherry:
(a) Government Offices/Establishments/Local Bodies, all public and private commercial and industrial establishments, Educational Institutions located in 10-Kamaraj Nagar Assembly Constituency.
(b) Employees including casual workers employed in Government Offices/ Establishments, Local Bodies, commercial and industrial establishments, both public and private, Educational Institutions who are enrolled as electors in 10-Kamaraj Nagar Assembly Constituency.
LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT [ PART-I 2206 22062. This will be a Paid Holiday under section 135B of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 to those workers who are enrolled as electors in 10-Kamaraj Nagar Assembly Constituency employed on daily wages in various Government Departments/Private Establishments.
