NOTIFICATION
Whereas, the Comprehensive Development Plan for Puducherry-2036 had been prepared for the entire Puducherry Planning Area in accordance with the provisions contained in the Puducherry Town and Country Planning Act, 1969 and submitted to the Government in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 30 of the said Act;
And whereas, the Government has given consent in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 30 of the said Act for publication of a public notice under sub-section (1) of section 31 of the said Act for filing objections/suggestions with respect to the Comprehensive Development Plan for Puducherry-2036;
And whereas, a public notice, for inviting objections from general public as required under sub-section (1) of section 31 of the said Act, was published by the Puducherry Planning Authority in the Official Gazette No. 82, dated 21-06-2018 and in the local newspapers on 22-06-2018;
LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT [ PART-I 2380 2380And whereas, the objections and suggestions, received from the general public in response to the said notice, were duly considered by a Committee appointed under sub-section (2) of section 31 of the said Act and the said Committee has submitted its report to the Puducherry Planning Authority suggesting amendments to the Comprehensive Development Plan-2036. As required under sub-section (5) of the section 31 of the said Act, the Puducherry Planning Authority has submitted the Comprehensive Development Plan duly making the modifications as suggested by the Committee to the Board and to the Government; Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 32 of the Puducherry Town and Country Planning Act, 1969 (No. 13 of 1970), the Government of Puducherry, in consultation with the Puducherry Town and Country Planning Board, is pleased to approve the Comprehensive Development Plan-2036 for the entire Puducherry Planning Area submitted by the Puducherry Planning Authority.
