GOVERNMENT OF PUDUCHERRY CHIEF SECRETARIAT (FISHERIES) (G.O. Ms. No. 4/Fy., Puducherry, dated 7th April 2020) NOTIFICATION The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to approve the proposal for enhancement of financial assistance of Old Aged Fishers in the Union territory of Puducherry and for the said purpose hereby further amends the "Old Age Pension for Fishermen Rules, 2003" issued vide notification under G.O. Ms. No. 13/Fy., dated 11-12-2003 of the Department of Rural Development, Chief Secretariat (Fisheries), Puducherry and published in the Extraordinary Gazette of Puducherry, Part-II, No. 39, dated 10th December 2003 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules) as follows:- [ 199 ]

1. Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called

the Old Age Pension for Fishermen (Amendment) Rules, 2020.

(2) It shall come into force with effect from 01.04.2020 subject

to availability of funds only.

2. Amendment of rule 7.— In the said rules, in sub-rule(1) of

rule 7 under the heading "Quantum of assistance and sanction" the

following shall be substituted, namely:–

	2 Age group of 60-79 years of age	` 2,090 (Rupees two thousand and ninety only)	` 2,500 (Rupees two thousand and five hundred only)
	3 Age group of above 80 years of age	` 3,135 (Rupees three thousand one hundred and thirty-five only)	` 3,500 (Rupees three thousand and five hundred only)

(2) This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department,

Puducherry vide their I.D. No. 3188/FC/F4/A3/2019-20, dated 30-03-2020.
