Whereas, the Child Welfare Committees in the three regions of the Union

G.O. Ms. No. 41/2011-Wel (SW-V), date d 2 0-12-2011 of the Chief Secretariat (Welfare), Puducherry. The tenu re of the Committee was subsequ ently extended

for 2nd and 3rd time G.O. Ms. No. 10/2015-Wel (SW-V), dated 2 0-02-2015, G.O. Ms. No. 02/SWS/2017-18, dated 02-05-2017 and G.O. Ms. No. 15 /SWS/2017-18, dated 12-02-2018 of the Social Welfare Secretariat, Pu ducherry;

And, now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sectio n 27 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, Rule 16 of the Puducherry Juvenile Justi ce (Care and Prote ction o f Children) Rules, 2 01 7 and a s per

recommendation of the Selection Committee constituted G.O. Ms. No. 5/SWS/2017, dated 15-02-2017 of the Social Welfare Secretariat, Puducherry, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to re-constitute Child Welfare Committees in the Puducherry, Karaikal and Yanam regions. The Committees shall hold its sittings in the premises o f Observation Home at Ariyanku ppam, Pudu cherry or the Office of the Assistant Director (Welfare) in the respective regions.

The other terms and conditions mentio ned in the G.Os. referred in the first paragraph shall remain unaltered.

2 nd and 3rd time G.O. M s. No . 9/2015 -Wel. (SW-V) , dated 20-0 2 -2015 and G.O. Ms. No. 16/SWS/2017-18, dated 12-02-201 8 of the Social Welfare Secretariat, Puducherry;
