NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sectio n (1) of section 70 -A o f the Puducherry Excise Act, 1970 (Act No. 12 of 1970), the Lieu tenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby makes the following second amendment to the Schedule-I o f the said Act, namely:-
[ PART-I LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT 368 368"In the said Schedule, appended to the Notification issued in No. 24 62-B/ DCE/S1/2020-21, dated 24th May, 20 20 and published in Part-I, Extrao rdinary Gazette No . 7 6, da ted 2 4th Ma y 202 0 o f t he Go ver nm ent of Pu du che rry, the fo ll owi ng shall be inserted:-
(i) In column (6), in item (i), after the wo rds "Karaikal District", the following entries shall be inserted, namely :-
"/Mahe region"
(ii) in column No.6, after item No. (ii), the following shall be inserted:– "(iii) A flat rate of 30 percent on the remaining brands in Mahe regio n." This notification shall be valid for a period of three months from the date of its issue."
