NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 70-A of the Puducherry Excise Act, 1970 (Act No. 12 of 1970), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby makes the following amendment to the Schedule-I of the said Act, namely:-

"In the said Schedule, in column (6), in item No. (i), after the words "Mahe region", the following entries shall be inserted, namely :-

"/Yanam region"

(ii) in the said column No. 6, after item No. (iii), the following shall be inserted, namely:–

"(iv) A flat rate of 35 percent on the remaining brands in Yanam region." This notification shall be valid for a period of three months from the date of its issue.
