6. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or reject any tender without assigning any reasons thereof. Contravention of the rules of the tender notice will result in the forfeiture of the earnest money deposit.

T E N D E R N O T I C E
Sealed tenders are invited by the undersigned offering the rate for the purchase of old newspapers as mentioned below.
2. The rate should be quoted for each item separately.
Rate per kilogram (1) Old Tamil newspapers . . ` (2) Old English newspapers . . ` (3) Old waste papers . . ` 3. The tenders in sealed covers superscribed as "Tender for purchase of old newspapers and waste papers" should be addressed to the Director, Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Puducherry and sent to this office, so as to reach before 12.00 noon on 19th August 2020. The tenders will be opened on the same day at 4.00 p.m. in front of the tenderers those who are present at that time. In case, the day for tender opening being declared as public holiday for any reason, the tenders will be received and opened at the same time on the next working day.
4. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount of ` 200/-(Rupees two hundred only) as earnest money deposit along with the tenders. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded immediately after the finalization of tenders.
7. The successful tenderer should arrange to weigh the old newspapers/waste papers, pay the cost thereof along with applicable GST and clear the items within 24 hours from the time of the tender sale is over at his/ her own risk and cost, failing which this Directorate is not responsible for loss thereafter and earnest money deposit will be forfeited.
8. No claim on the quality, quantity and value of the sold goods will be entertained, once the tender is finalized.
9. Materials can be inspected during office hours without crowding in and outside the office due to COVID-19 which leads to cancellation of tender.
10. In case of any dispute, the decision of the undersigned will be the final.
