It is hereby notified for the information of the public under section 5(a) of the Indian Treasure Trove Act, 1878 (Act No. 6 of 1878), that the metal idols as described in the following Schedule were found while digging pond for Integrated Agriculture Farm Pond Under MKSP Scheme through Block Development Office, Karaikal at the land belonging to Sri Prathambasimeswarar Sri Lakshmi Narayana Perumal, HRI Temple in Thiruvasal Nagar, Sethur, Thirunallar Taluk on 23-09-2020.

All persons who claims the finding or any part thereof are hereby required to appear before the Deputy Collector (Revenue), Karaikal performing the functions of the Collector under the Indian Treasure Trove Act, 1878 at his chamber on any working day not being earlier than four months or later than six months after the date of first publication of this notification in the Puducherry Official Gazette and prefer their claims.

The matter will be taken up for consideration and disposed of in accordance with the provisions of the Indian Treasure Trove Act, 1878.
