In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Commercial Courts Act, 2015 (Central Act No. 4 of 2016), read with the Notification in S.O. 1917 (E), dated 15th May, 2018 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi and after consultation with the Hon'ble High Court of Judicature at Madras, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, constitutes one Commercial Court in the Karaikal District of this Union territory of Puducherry in respect of all the commercial disputes arising within the territorial jurisdiction of Karaikal and also appoints the Hon'ble District Judge, Karaikal, as the Judge of the Commercial Court.
