GOVERNMENT OF PUDUCHERRY

IN THE COURT OF THE DISTRICT MAGISTRATE AT PUDUCHERRY

Present : PURVA GARG, I.A.S.,

District Magistrate, Puducherry.

Order Under Section 144 of Cr.P.C.

Whereas, in view of the visit of the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India to Puducherry which is scheduled on 25-02-2021, various security arrangements are being undertaken by this administration.

And whereas, as a measure to strengthen security, there shall be restriction on use of aerial photography/videography in any form by usage of drones, balloons, etc., and hence, there is sufficient ground for proceeding for which immediate prevention is required.

Now, therefore, I, PURVA GARG, I.A.S., District Magistrate, Puducherry, in exercise the powers conferred up on me u/s 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973, do hereby prohibit aerial photography or videography in any form such as by use of drone cameras, flying balloons or by any other aviation devices in Puducherry region on 24-02-2021 and 25-2-2021, on account of visit of the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India to Puducherry.

Any violation of this order is punishable by legal action under section 188 of IPC and other relevant provisions of law.

This Order shall remain in force for 24-02-2021 and 25-02-2021.

The emergent nature of case and circumstances do not permit serving of notice to the concerned in due time and hence, this order is passed ex-parte u/s 144(2) of the Criminal procedure Code, 1973.
