NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21, read with section 32 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Act 2 of 1974), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby appoints the Officers mentioned in column (2) of the Table in the Annexure as Special Executive Magistrate with effect from the date of the enforcement of Model Code of Conduct and up to the date of completion of election process in connection with the General Elections to the Puducherry Legislative Assembly, 2021 in respect of the area specified under column(3) of the said Table and empowers them to exercise all the powers of the Executive Magistrate under the said Code.
