T h e P r e s i d e n t h a s b e e n p l e a s e d t o a c c e p t t h e r e s i g n a t i o n o f Shri V.P. Sivakolundhu, Hon'ble Speaker of Puducherry Legislative Assembly, with effect from 28-02-2021, in terms of Section 56, read with Section 51 of the Government of Union Territories Act, 1963. Sub-section (5) of Section 7 of the Government of Union Territories Act, 1963 will also cease to be in effect as far as they are concerned with the salaries and allowances of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, till further orders.
