NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred under section 440 of the Puducherry Municipalities Act, 1973 (No. 9 of 1973) and all other powers enabling her in partial modification of the Puducherry Municipalities [Prevention of Infection and Control of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19)] Rules, 2020 (hereinafter referred as Rules), the Lieutenant-Governor, do hereby make the following amendment to the rules, namely:- [ 41 ]

PART–II] LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT

1. Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) These rules may

be called the Puducherry Municipalities [Prevention of Infection and

Control of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) (Amendment)] Rules, 2021:-

(2) They shall come into force with immediate effect.

2. Amendment of rule 3.— In the rules, after the clause (vii),

under sub-rule 3, the following clause shall be inserted, namely:-

(viii) Violating the lockdown order by stepping out of the home

without any valid reason/without identity card.
