NOTIFICATION

Whereas , in the Notification issued in G.O. Ms. No. 50 /LAS /2019 , dated 07-03-2019 of the Local Administration Secretariat , published in the Official Gazette of Puducherry [ Extraordinary (Part- 1 ) ] bearing No. 38 , dated 07-03-2019 , the Government has notified the Delimitation of the Commune Panchayat Wards for the purpose of conduct of elections to the Commune Panchayats;

And whereas , in the said Government Order, in Annexure - I [ Statement showing the Wards into which Commune Panchayats have been divided and the extent of each such Commune Panchayat Wards ] , some errors in the boundaries of the ward ( s ) , list of areas / streets included in the ward (s ) and clerical errors , etc. , have occurred in respect of the Wards of Ariankuppam , Bahour, Mannadipet , Nettapakkam, Villianur and Neravy Commune Panchayat as mentioned below: -

And whereas , it has been considered necessary to correct such errors in order to facilitate the preparation of error free electoral roll and ultimately smooth conduct of elections to the Commune Panchayats without any hitch;

And whereas , the objections or suggestions were called for from the general public vide Notification G.O. Ms. No. 13 / LAS/ 2021 , dated 19-05-2021 of the Local Administration Secretariat , published in the Official Gazette of Puducherry [Extraordinary (Part - 1) ] bearing No. 102 , dated 19-05-2021 and the objections or suggestions received in this regard have been considered by the Government and after hearing the objections or suggestions , thereof, the Amendment Notification issued vide Notification in G.O. Ms. No. 13 /LAS /2021 , dated 19-05-2021 of the Local Administration Secretariat , published in the Official Gazette of Puducherry [Extraordinary (Part - 1 ) ] bearing No. 102 , dated 19-05-2021 , has been finalized as such;

Now, therefore , in exercise of the powers conferred under sub - section ( 1 ) of section 12 , read with section 11 of the Puducherry Village and Commune Panchayats Act, 1973 (No. 10 of 1973 ) , the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby confirms the Amendment Notification issued in the G.O. Ms. No. 13 /LAS/2021 , dated 19-05-2021 of the Local Administration Secretariat , published in the Official Gazette ofPuducherry [Extraordinary (Part - I) ] bearing No. 102, dated 19-05-2021 and orders that it shall be the final notification .
