2. Director (Planning), Planning and Research Department shall coordinate the functioning of the Committee.

3. The objective of the Committee shall be to monitor the Central Sector Projects costing more than ` 150.00 crore, implemented in the Union territory of Puducheny. Identify major factors for large scale time over-run like delays in land acquisition, delays in getting environment/forest/wildlife clearances, delay in shifting of utilities, delays in removal of encroachments, law and order problems, inaccurate/incomplete revenue records, agitation by local pressure groups, lack of coordination between different Departments in resolving issues, lack of supporting/facilitating infrastructure like approaches to project sites, etc.

4. The High Powered Committee would meet once in a quarter, with the agenda to sort out bottlenecks in timely implementation of Central Sector Projects costing more than ` 150.00 crore and to monitor their implementation with regard to time and cost over-runs and to suggest any systematic as well as other improvements which would enable timely completion of Projects and within the cost.

5. The Committee shall meet atleast once in a quarter or whenever the necessity arises. The Committee may also take-up any other issues which are relevant with the permission of the Chair.

TENDER-CUM-AUCTION NOTICE Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are invited for the following old items belonging to this directorate :

The sealed tenders should be addressed to the Director of Economics and Statistics, No. 505, Kamaraj Salai, Saram, Puducherry-605 013 duly superscribing on the envelope as "Tender for purchase of old newspapers, magazines, scrap materials (plastic)" and should reach the undersigned on or before 30-09-2021 at 3.00 p.m. The tenders will be opened at 4.00 p.m. on the same day in the presence of the attending tenderers, in the office of the undersigned.

3. If necessary, the auction will be conducted among the tenderers to fix the highest rate.

4. The intending tenderers should pay an amount of ` 1,000 (Rupees one thousand only) as earnest money deposit in cash and it will be refunded to the unsuccessful tenderers after the acceptance of the highest bid is over. Tenders without earnest money deposit will not be taken into consideration. Tenderers should have a copy of any valid I.D. and Address Proof along with GST particulars. Tenders received after the due date and time will be rejected.

5. The successful tenderer should pay full amount immediately as and when call made and clear the items within 24 hours at his/her own rick and expenses, failing which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.

6. The intending tenderers can inspect the newspapers and magazines during the office hours of all working days on or before 30-09-2021 at the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, No. 505, Kamaraj Salai, Saram, Puducherry-605 013.

7. The successful tenderer should make his/her own arrangements for weighing the newspapers.

8. In case of any dispute, the decision of the undersigned will be the final.
