THE SPECIAL MARRIAGE ACT: Law Commission of India having taken up suo motu steps due to a pressing need to amend the Special Marriage Act, 1954 and the Foreign Marriage Act, 1969, has formulated the 212th Report on the subject, to resolve certain conflicts in the Laws relating to Civil Marriages in India.
