[91]94 LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT [15 February 2022 Act, 1947 and other labour legislations. On the respondent side no evidence was let in and PW1 was not cross-examined. In the Annexure to the claim statement the petitioners has detailed the date of joining of the petitioner. There is no contra evidence to dispute the contention of the petitioners. The petitioners having fought a long legal battle is certainly entitled for the relief of correction of date of entry into service in their service records maintained by the respondent management as detailed in the Annexure to the claim petition. As such, the date of entry into service of the petitioners Thiruvalargal R. Krishnan, K. Ehthiyan, D. Amudha, P. Venkatesan and V. Albert, has to be altered as 01-03-1975, 01-04-1977, 01-06-1983, 01-03-1983 and 01-06-1988, respectively.

8. In the result, the petition is allowed. The respondent management is directed to make correction of the date of entry into service of all the petitioners as per the dates above-mentioned in all the service records including ESI, Provident Fund, Gratuity records maintained by the respondent management. No costs.

Whereas, an application, dated 12-09-2019 was received from Tmt. Shashi Jain, Swathi Bankers, No. 115, Lawspet Main Street, Kottupalayam, Lawspet, Puducherry, a licensed Pawn Broker requesting permission of the District Magistrate to sell unredeemed and time barred articles in public auction.

2. And whereas, the list of unredeemed and time barred articles submitted by the Pawn Broker was forwarded to the Deputy Collector (Revenue) North, Puducherry, for causing physical verification of the articles and ascertain that they remain unredeemed after the time allowed for redemption.

And whereas, the Deputy Collector (Revenue) North, Puducherry, has furnished the report, stating that the Tahsildar, Taluk Office, Oulgaret, had conducted physical verification of the articles that are unredeemed and time barred pledged with Tmt. Shashi Jain, Swathi Bankers, No. 115, Lawspet Main Street, Kottupalayam, Lawspet, Puducherry and reported that the articles mentioned in the application remained unredeemed past the time allowed and the articles are kept in the licensed premises itself except the twenty-nine items vide Catalogue Nos. 34, 36, 41, 59, 67, 69, 86, 92, 98, 111, 156, 175, 185, 197, 220, 229, 238, 239, 240, 242, 250, 254, 255, 268, 279, 290, 294, 297 and 308 of the list, which were redeemed subsequently after the application of the Pawn Broker cited at reference (1).

4. And whereas, the rule 12 of the Puducherry Pawn Brokers Rules, 1966 prescribes detailed procedure in auctioning of pledges.

5. Now, therefore, Thiru B. Karthikeyan, Thirupathiripuliyur, Cuddalore Taluk, the authorised Auctioneer, is permitted to conduct order, the sale of unredeemed time barred articles, pledges as shown in the list enclosed and available with the Pawn Broker Tmt. Shashi Jain, Swathi Bankers, No. 115, Lawspet Main Street, Kottupalayam, Lawspet, Puducherry, in public auction in the licensed premises of the Pawn Broker at the above address, as per the list approved and sent to the Pawn Broker and the Auctioneer except Catalogue Nos. 34, 36, 41, 59, 67, 69, 86, 92, 98, 111, 156, 175, 185, 197, 220, 229, 238, 239, 240, 242, 250, 254, 255, 268, 279, 290, 294, 297 and 308 of the list, which were redeemed. Ø Planning and Research Department will be the Nodal Department and in-charge of Central Repository. The Unified Database will be the backbone for Central Repository. All the cross reference requirements will be approved by Planning and Research Department.

Ø Nodal Department for each Scheme specific detail will be identified.

Ø The Member-Secretary of the two Committees will call for the meeting as per the work requirement.
