[197]15 March 2022] LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT 221 • The Startup Council shall examine the merits of each case for the grant of fiscal assistance and shall decide whether the startup qualifies for fiscal assistance and recommend the quantum of fiscal assistance admissible to the startup.

3. The Startup Council shall meet at least twice in a year to review the policy and other matters including availing of incentives. However, based on the exigency of service, the Council shall meet more often as required.

4. The Additional Secretary to Government-cum- Directorate of Industries and Commerce, Puducherry, will be the convenor of the Council and the meeting will be communicated to the member as and when it is conducted.

GOVERNMENT OF PUDUCHERRY 2. The functions of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Committee shall be as follows:

• To examine the application for fiscal assistance received from various startups under the policy and to submit its recommendations to the Startup Council.

• To monitor disbursal of the incentives under the policy.

• To monitor the objectives of the policy by creating Specific Performance Indicators.

• To periodically review the implementation of policy and to report to the Startup Council.

• To suggest modifications to re-align the policy as per the changing needs/requirements.

3. The Members of IEDC shall meet at every quarter interval in a financial year.

4. The Deputy Director of Industries and Commerce, Puducherry, will be the Convenor of the Committee and the details of the meeting will be communicated as and when it is conducted.
