PUBLIC NOTICE
Whereas, in the G.O. Ms. No. 05/2016-Hg, dated 11-03-2016 of the Chief Secretariat (Housing), Government of Puducherry, sanction has been accorded under section (20) and (23) of Puducherry Town and Country Planning Act, 1969 to prepare the Existing Land Use Map and Register and Draft Comprehensive Development Plan for the Karaikal Planning Area.
And whereas, an Existing Land Use Map and Register, 2021 for the entire Karaikal Planning Area to an extent of 160 sq.km. have been prepared by the Karaikal Planning Authority, Karaikal.
And whereas, a Notice calling objections from the public was issued vide No. 327/KPA/CDP/2021/2221, dated 12-10-2021 of the Karaikal Planning Authority which has also been published in the Official Gazette vide Extraordinary Gazette No. 261, dated 21-10-2021 and also in the local newspapers viz. The Hindu dated 16-10-2021 and Dinamalar dated 16-10-2021 in accordance with the provision ofPART-I ] LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT 159 section 18 (1) of the Puducherry Town and Country Planning Act, 1969, read with rule 41 of the Puducherry Town and Country Planning Rules, 1974. Whereas, a copy of the said Existing Land Use Maps and Registers, 2021 was made available for inspection by the public during office hours in the Office of the Karaikal Planning Authority and also made available in the official website https://tcpd.py.gov.in and
https://karaikal.gov.in.
And whereas, objections received from the public have been heard by the Chief Town Planner on 17-12-2021 and 30-12-2021 and based on the report/ suggestions of the Chief Town Planner, the Existing Land Use Map and Registers, 2021 has since been modified.
Now, therefore, a Public Notice is hereby given pursuant to sub-section (5) of section 18 of the Puducherry Town and Country Planning Act, 1969 that the Existing Land Use Map and Register, 2021 for the Karaikal Planning Area have duly been prepared and adapted by the Karaikal Planning Authority from the date of publication of this Notice in the Official Gazette of Government of Puducherry. The adapted Existing Land Use Map and Register, 2021 are available for inspection during office hours in the Office of the Karaikal Planning Authority and also in the official website https://tcpd.py.gov.in.
