NOTIFICATION

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to enhance the

quantum of financial assistance for funeral expenses of deceasedold age/destitute pensioners and for the said purpose hereby makes f u r t h e r Am e n d m e n t t o " T h e P u d u c h e r r y O l d A g e P e r s o n s a n d Destitutes Pension Rules, 2011 notified in G.O. Ms. No. 42/2011-Wel(SW-IV), dated 23-12-2011, of the Chief Secretariat (Welfare), Puducherry and published in the Gazette of Puducherry, Extraordinary Part-II, No. 3, dated 02-01-2012, (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), namely:– [ 259 ] 260 LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT [PART–II

AMENDMENT

1. Short title, extent and commencement.— (i) These rules may

be called "The Puducherry Old Age Persons and Destitutes Pension

(Amendment) Rules, 2022".

(ii) It shall extend to the whole of the Union territory of

Puducherry.

(iii) It shall come into force from the date of its notification in

the Official Gazette.

2. In the said rule, in sub rule (1) of rule 14, for the words, figures and brackets "` 10,000 (Rupees ten thousand only)" the words, figures and brackets "` 15,000 (Rupees fifteen thousand only)" shall be

substituted.

2. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department

vide their I.D.No. 4040/FC/FD/F5/A2/2021-22, dated 06-12-2021.
