HINDU RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS AND WAQF SECRETARIAT

ORDER

In exercise of the powers delegated to constitute Waqf Board in respect of Union territory of Puducherry, conferred by section 14 of the Waqf Act, 1995 (Central Act 43 of 1995), read with the Notification No. S.O.572(E), dated 19-08-1996 issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, the Lieutenant-Governor of Puducherry, is pleased to reconstitute the Union territory of Puducherry State Waqf Board and to appoint the following Members to the Waqf Board for the Union territory of Puducherry:-

MEMBERS TO THE WAQF BOARD FOR THE UNION TERRITORY OF PUDUCHERRY

(i) Thiru A.M.H. Nazeem,

Member of Legislative Assembly, Karaikal (South).

(ii) Thiru A. Syed Ahamed Mohideen,

Advocate, Puducherry.

(iii) Thiru T. Mohamed Jahir Hussain,

Mutawalli, Karaikal.

(Appointed by the Hon'ble High Court, Madras in W.P.No. 12081/2021) (iv) Tmt. Muhammed Fazeela Fathima,

Women Social Activist, Puducherry.

(v) Thiru V.P. Abdul Rahman,

Recognised Scholar in Islamic Theology, Mahe.

2. The Members of the Board shall hold office for a period of five years from the date of issue of this Notification.
