(4) Minute of the XXXXXVIII Extraordinary Meeting of the Board of Governors held on 25-07-2022 at 3.00 p.m. in the Conference Hall, First Floor, Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Puducherry. [vide item No. 5(i)] , approval of the Board of Governors is hereby accorded for the appointment of Dr. S.P.K. Kennedy Babu, Professor and Head, Department of Periodontics as Dean, Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Puducherry, on regular basis with retrospective effect from 04-09-2020.

2. He will continue to draw the same Pay in the Scale of Pay in Level 14 (7th CPC) and usual allowances as admissible under the Rules in force from time to time including Special Allowance of ` 3,000 per month.

3. He will continue to officiate in the same post of Dean, Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences, till he is attaining the age of superannuation of 65 years.

4. He will be the Head of the Institution till he is holding the post of Dean in the Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Puducherry.

5. This supersedes the earlier orders in point Nos. (1) and (2) issued and cited in the above 1st paragraph.

Ms. No. 9/95/Lab., dated 07-04-1995 under sub-section (1) of section 52 of the Puducherry Shops and Establishments Act, 1964, authorized the Secretary to Government, Labour Department, Puducherry, to exercise the powers of the Government under section 6 of the said Act, relating to exemption;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the said Act, the Secretary to Government, Labour Department, Puducherry, hereby exempts M/s. Ashok Theatre, Villianur, Puducherry and M/s. JR Cinemas, Puducherry, from the provisions of the sections 16(1), 17(1), 17(2) and 18 of the Puducherry Shops and Establishments Act, 1964, for conducting special morning free shows as per Table below:

4. In case, the said screening of the new films does not take place, this Notification shall have no effect.

5. The SOPs issued in respect of COVID-19 like wearing of mask and other conditions issued by the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Puducherry, shall be strictly adhered to.

1. Every person employed shall be paid overtime wages for the period of work done by him in excess of 8 hours in a week.

2. The persons employed shall be given rest interval of atleast half-an-hour for every four hours of work.

3. The management should obtain permission from the authorities concerned wherever necessary.

4. In case, the said screening of the new film does not take place, this notification shall have no effect.

Whereas, the management of M/s. The Cinema Providence, Providence Mall, Puducherry, has applied for grant of exemption from certain provisions of the Puducherry Shops and Establishments Act, 1964, to conduct special morning shows on account of screening new films;

5. The SOPs issued in respect of COVID-19 like wearing of mask and other conditions issued by the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Puducherry, shall be strictly adhered to.

Ms. No. 9/95/Lab., dated 07-04-1995 under sub-section (1) of section 52 of the Puducherry Shops and Establishments Act, 1964, authorized the Secretary to Government, Labour Department, Puducherry, to exercise the powers of the Government under section 6 of the said Act, relating to exemption;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the said Act, the Secretary to Government, Labour Department, Puducherry, hereby exempts M/s. The Cinema Providence, Providence Mall, Puducherry, from the provisions of the sections 16(1), 17(1), 17(2) and 18 of the Puducherry Shops and Establishments Act, 1964, for conducting special morning free shows as per Table below:

Whereas, the Government is of the opinion that an industrial dispute has arisen between the management of M/s. Lanson Motors Private Limited, Puducherry and13 September 2022] LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT 715 Thiru P. Kalaiselvan, over reinstatement with back wages in respect of the matter mentioned in the Annexure to this order;

And whereas, in the opinion of the Government, it is necessary to refer the said dispute for adjudication;

in the Union territory of Puducherry are likely to create a tense law and order situation and it is necessary so to do hereby directs the District Magistrate, Puducherry and Karaikal, shall also exercise the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the said Act in respect of their jurisdiction for a further period of six months from 14-09-2022.

Now, therefore, by virtue of the authority delegated vide G.O. Ms. No. 20/91/Lab./L, dated 23-5-1991 of the Labour Department, Puducherry, to exercise the powers conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act XIV of 1947), it is hereby directed by Secretary to Government (Labour) that the said dispute be referred to the Labour Court, Puducherry, for adjudication. The Labour Court, Puducherry, shall submit the Award within 3 months from the date of issue of reference as stipulated under sub-section (2-A) of section 10 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 and in accordance with rule 10-B of the Industrial Disputes (Central) Rules, 1957. The party raising the dispute shall file a statement of claim complete with relevant documents, list of reliance and witnesses to the Industrial Tribunal, Puducherry, within 15 days of the receipt of the order of reference and also forward a copy of such statement to each one of the opposite parties involved in the dispute.

"e-Tenders" are invited on behalf of the President of India by the Director, Directorate of Stationery and Printing, Puducherry, for centralized purchase of Paper and Board items for the year 2022-23 for use in the Directorate of Stationery and Printing, Puducherry.
