Ms. No. 01/2023/Wel.(SCW)/1344, Puducherry, dated 09th January 2023] NOTIFICATION The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to enhance the quantum of financial assistance to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes for performance of funeral rites and for the said purpose hereby makes the following Amendment to "The Pondicherry Grant of Financial Assistance to Scheduled Caste for Funeral Rites, 1982" notified in G.O. Ms. No. 125/82-HEW (HW), dated 10th November 1982 of the Health, Electricity and Works Department, Puducherry and published in the Gazette of Puducherry, No. 49, dated the 7th December, 1982 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), namely: [ 27 ]

AMENDMENT

In the said rules, in rule 4, for the words and figures "` 15,000 (Rupees fifteen thousand only)", the words and figures "` 25,000 (Rupees twenty-five thousand only)" shall be substituted.

2. This notification shall come into force with effect from the date

of its publication in the Official Gazette.

3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department

vide their I.D.No. 21158/FC/FD/F5/A2/2022, dated 26-12-2022.
