NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 70 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (Central Act 21 of 2000), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby declare the computer resources such as Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition System (SCADA) and the computer resources of its associated dependencies, which are identified as Critical Information Infrastructure of the State Load Despatch Centre of Electricity Department, Puducherry, by the National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre (NCIIPC), as "Protected System" for the purposes of the said Act[ 233 ] LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT [ PART-I 234 234 and authorize the following Personnel of the Electricity Department to access the Protected Systems, namely:–

(i) Authorized Team Members of the Original Equipment Manufacturers of the installed systems engaged by the Electricity Department, Puducherry, for the maintenance of the SCADA system on contractual basis or third party vendors who have been authorized by the Superintending Engineer-cum-Head of Department, Electricity Department, Puducherry.

(ii) Consultants, Regulators, Government Officials, Auditors and any other stakeholders after due authorization by the Superintending Engineer-cum- Head of Department, Electricity Department, Puducherry, on case to case basis.
