(2) to oversee the economic and social rehabilitation of manual scavengers;

(3) to coordinate the functions of all concerned agencies with a view to channelise adequate credit for the rehabilitation of manual scavengers; and (4) to monitor the registration of offences under the Act and, their investigation and prosecution.
