NOTIFICATION

The Hon'ble Lieutenant-Governor of Puducherry is pleased to enhance the age of superannuation of Dental Surgeons in the Department of Health and Family Welfare Services, Puducherry, from 60 years to 65 years on par with the Dental Doctors in the Departments of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India vide Notification No. GSR - 767(E), dated 11-08-2018 of the Department of Personnel and Training, New Delhi, with effect from 27-09-2017, subject to the following conditions:

[ 533 ]LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT [ PART-I 534 534 (i) The age of superannuation of the Dental Surgeons shall ordinarily be 62 years. The Dental Surgeons desiring to continue in their service up to the age of 65 years shall exercise the prioritized option of posting under the categories of (1) Teaching, (2) Clinical, (3) Patient Care, (4) Implementation of Health Programmes, (5) Implementation of Public Health Programmes, (6) Advisory and (7) Consultancy, depending on the field of their experience and expertise within 6 months before the date of attaining the age of 62 years (Option Form enclosed). The Appointing Authority may repost them as "Senior Chief Dental Surgeon" under any one of the categories of posts to serve up to the age of 65 years, subject to availability of vacancy in the concerned field of posting and administrative convenience. Their other service conditions shall remain unaltered while serving as Senior Chief Dental Surgeon.

(ii) The Dental Surgeons, who fail to exercise the option of posting within 6 months before the date of attaining the age of 62 years, shall be superannuated from their service on attaining the age of 62 years.

(iii) The Dental Surgeons can hold the administrative posts until they attain the age of 62 years alone.

I am aware that I will be considered for posting to posts other than administrative posts at the desired field as per my option indicated subject to availability of vacancy and administrative convenience and as decided by the Competent Authority. Further, I shall not stake any claim for posting to any additional administrative posts notified in future. I also understand that my continuation in service is subject to Government of Puducherry rules/instructions, etc., issued from time to time.
