TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are invited from the local tenderers having valid GSTIN for the sale of old newspapers and magazines (Tamil and English), etc., belonging to the Directorate of Information and Publicity, Puducherry, available at the Office Complex at No. 18, Belcomb Street, Puducherry and Press Club at No. 1, Manakula Vinayagar Street, Puducherry.

2. The rate should be quoted for each item separately as follows:

8. The successful tenderer shall arrange for the Government weighing machine or authorized by the Government to weigh the old newspapers and magazines, pay the cost thereof alongwith the applicable GST and remove the old newspapers and magazines within 48 hours from the time of the tender sale is over during office hours. Any failure to these arrangements, the earnest money deposit paid will be forfeited. Also, for the old newspapers and magazines which have been disposed off after due receipt of payment, this Department will not undertake any responsibility for any loss or shortage or damage. On completion of clearance, the earnest money deposit will be refunded.

9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Director of Information and Publicity, Puducherry, shall be the final.

The tenders in sealed covers superscripted "Tender for the purchase of old newspapers and magazines, etc.," should be addressed to the Director of Information and Publicity, Puducherry, so as to reach this office on or before 07-12-2023 at 4.00 p.m. The tenders will be opened on the same day at 5.00 p.m. 4. The tenders in sealed covers should be addressed to the Deputy Director of Education (Elementary), Puducherry, duly superscripted on the envelope as "Tender/for purchase of Outdated Text Books and Used Answer Papers" and to reach the undersigned on or before 14-12-2023 at 10.45 a.m. The tenders will be opened on the same day at 11.00 a.m. in the presence of the bidders or their authorized representatives who are present at the time of opening of tenders. If, the tender opening day happens to be a public holiday, the same will be opened on the next working day.

3. The rate should be quoted separately for O u t d a t e d Te x t B o o k s a n d U s e d A n s w e r P a p e r s . The rate will be valid for one year from the date of sanction order.

4. Tenders received after the due date and time will summarily be rejected. The tenderers who have submitted their tenders in sealed cover only allowed to participat in the public auction.
