[Under sub-section (1) of section 19 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land
Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013]
Whereas, the Government having been satisfied that a total of 00.80.00 H.A.C. land at 25-Kovilpathu Revenue Village, Karaikal Taluk, Karaikal District, is required for the public purpose, namely, "Construction of Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), Office Building-cum-Regional Gas Management Centre (RGMC) Control Room for Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), Karaikal".

This declaration is made after hearing the objections of persons interested and due enquiry as provided under section 15 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Act 30 of 2013).
There are no inhabitants on the land under acquisition. Hence, no displacement of family/loss of livelihood arises.
A plan sketch of the lands may be inspected in the Office of the Deputy Collector (Revenue)-cum- Land Acquisition Officer, Karaikal, on any working day during office hours..
