Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, having been satisfied that the circumstances prevailing in the Union territory of Puducherry, are likely to create a tense Law and Order situation and it is necessary so to do hereby directs the District Magistrates, Puducherry and Karaikal, shall also exercise the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the said Act, in respect of their jurisdiction for a further period of six months from 14-03-2024.

NOTIFICATION

In pursuance of the provisions contained in sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Puducherry Prevention of Anti-social Activities Act, 2008 (Act No. 10 of 2010), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, having been satisfied that the circumstances prevailing in the Union territory of Puducherry, are likely to create a tense Law and Order situation and it is necessary so to do hereby directs the District Magistrates, Puducherry and Karaikal, shall also exercise the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the said Act, in respect of their jurisdiction for a further period of six months from 14-03-2024.
